Thought was good late against a few unknowns in Stawell j/o, did have Jennyanydots there who think has a decent cruising speed and thinking Ziggy Plays Guitar might go okay. Then trialled over 1100m and made good ground from the back and Linda didn’t look to ask the horse for much. Couldn’t get too carried away because the opp might be crap in that trial but I do have to respect that if asked could have won by a fair margin I think, time was also slow I think compared to the others on same day but again don’t want to fully knock because obviously if asked and would have ran better time, feel when Wilde and Meech team up we usually have had a decent strike rate in the past. Champagne Jenni exotics, Coastal Abbey exotics, Heat of the Night exotics, wouldn’t shock if won. TEAM HEIST will be a mental health bet because was a stake bet on debut I’m pretty sure and should have gone closer if ran up to trial but stable have horrible stats on my stuff so going forward are just treated as scratchings for staking. The couple that I thought wouldn’t shock have been scratched, Champagne Jenni wouldn’t totally shock and Coastal Abbey is in black book from early days but has had enough time to win by now. 1400m I like, gives enough time to show stay potential, hopefully no slow ones get in the way, if any good finds a weak maiden. No idea if goes there or not but had something small in the Oaks at $34 on lads
