First j/o not asked for much against Affirmative Lad and Perfect Picture. Looked okay against Mystic Reign who was a bet the other day and then scratched. Time to Baca was there and thought subs ran okay on debut. Latest j/o I thought Astral moved up nicely in the straight and when jock asked showed a turn of foot, matched motors with an unraced one who had looked okay against Just Like Gaby and that horse was being spruiked a bit when ran at MV behind Documentary

Trialled against some horses that have won races over a decent distance in recent trial and looked to be travelling well, would have to be a chance to win a maiden if there is another gear there, down staked because wasn’t sure how good those horses that have won are going but still would have to think if they went back to maiden grade they would be hard to beat. WILD THOUGHTS would just be a preview if wasn’t already betting in the race but having a saver because thought responded when jock asked for an effort, although was against opp that I think might be not much good

Ran okay on debut. Feel NZ form usually is a good guide for distance races here. I feel the opp here have shown they are not good. This horse looks to have some upside, recent trial hit line very well against winners. Looks hard to beat
