Imperial Hilton was strong through the line in a jump-out that included Portland Jimmy. Portland not long ago won the Avoca cup. Marco Spada has been gelded and looks to have a nice turn of foot, recent Cranbourne jump-out caught the eye. The blinkers going on could also be the key to the horse improving. War General jumped out okay before debut and covered ground at Cranbourne. True Impact went around behind Burning the clock at the jump-outs.
Backing Imperial Hilton $5.50 and Marco Spada $3.50. I would not be surprised if both runners drift out a bit.
Corner Pocket went into the black book when looking to jump-out slightly better than Tydeus. He also went with the handy Mystery Shot in another jump-out. There have been a few subsequent winners from the debut run and he should be hard to beat. Demando looks to have a fair amount of style, she went around in a jump-out behind Bravo Tango and Ideas Man.
