Backed on debut after looking good to my eye in a trial against older winners. Jumped well on debut but got stuck a bit wide with no cover early but liked the way he kept find against Stonefield. Stone did go onto to win again a few runs later. Looked to return well, beating some fast horses here, including Mystery Shot. Given a good work out by Yendall, I think, here. Winner of the j/o has won a couple. Not the flashy j/o but don’t mind from stable, they often go better race day, will be fit enough and blinkers on looks a sign of intent. Yendall might even be able to go forward and dictate
#2 AWESOME MISS was getting the feeling this filly was going to be a staking bet all the way through her j/o’s, that was until Talcott Tori ran like a busted for us on debut, they met in a j/o beforehand. In saying that maybe Talcott just put in a shocker and actually goes okay. Awesome won this j/o beating Seranaur. Sera has since bolted in winning a Ballarat maiden. Kept grinding away here, had the measure of Salto Angel. Good late here against some types better than maiden grade, e.g Scientific. The last j/o has put me off betting, looked a bit flat when asked to sprint. #3 Charm and Disarm caught eye when beating Festivus. #1 Royal Fox race form scares me a bit, same with Wanaroo. If Awesome comes up double figures or something I will have to have at least 1 stake on, mostly for my mental health, it’s only that last j/o that concerns me but could they have been trying to get some odds, who knows. $26 looks overs for mine
