Kev first caught my eye at the Mortlake jump-outs when she won the jump-out without being tested and the opposition were ridden along, including Fabian’s Spirit. The next jump-out was pretty much the same thing, went to the front and won again, beating a decent galloper in Terrace House. We should get decent odds. Hopefully Zazster is scratched and we can back him another time. If not we have to have something on him too. He should open big odds too. The recent jump-out at Geelong was good work for a maiden, he was ridden along but beat La Falaise and Diamond Luke, who won following that jump-out. One that will be making ground late at odds is Southfield, good late in that first jump-out behind Kev’s Girl, include her in all exotics.
Thought he ran fairly well on debut behind the handy Miss Albania, working home nicely through the line. The race was run in fast time for a maiden and he will appreciate the step up in distance. The Black Panther and Uranium look the dangers but other than them, there is not the greatest of depth.
