| First caught my eye here, he missed the start but I liked the way he moved late and picked up with some decent opposition, including Villaden and a couple of other winners. He stuffed up the start again here, was matching motors with the likes of Bermadez and Americain Angel late, they go better than maiden grade, slight knock is Whywhywhydeliah was there and she went poorly the other day. Bermadez won the other day though in town during the carnival. Jumped better here, stuck on okay with Savonia who I reckon goes alright, doesn’t look the hardest maiden going around and the Bendigo straight should give him time to wind up. You can’t dive right in like the bigger stables, like Price/Kent Jnr, Maher/ Eu for whatever reason some just don’t have the same fitness levels on debut with the smaller stables but we can have a medium bet. Will have the smallest of bet on #2 Spirit of Greg who gets the blinkers on for the first time and if he got up at big odds and I didn’t have a saver on I would just about lose it. Will add a couple of others for exotics. May change after scratchings |
